The core constructs of a philosophy that aligns with my vision for teaching and learning are justice, accessibility, and transparency all founded in opportunity for all. This philosophy aligns with the vision of the U.S. Department of Education that contains crucial elements such as competitiveness, and equal access (U.S. Department of Education, 2018). People regardless of culture and economic position face the distance and time constraints when pursuing an academic degree, and I firmly believe in extending the flexibility and robust resources for all individuals to have equal opportunity to succeed (Arenas, 2018).
